Photo Fun

Since the beginning of the year, I have been posting a photo every day. This has been challenging particularly through travel and illnesses, but I am liking this month, so far. January's theme was "Black and White" and February was all about a "Different Point of View". It has been a lot harder than I had anticipated it would be, especially when we were stuck inside with the plague for 8 days. There are more than a handful of mediocre photos that I wouldn't normally post, but each one represents that day in some particular way.

Yesterday was "A" day and I went with...

Today for "B" I made bagels, thanks to the inspiration of a friend's post (check out her beautiful bagels and get the incredibly easy recipe from here).

I was set to make banana bread and then the thought of fresh everything bagels for our tuna sandwiches trumped that decision. Our everything bagels had kosher salt, poppy seeds, sesame seeds and dried garlic flakes. Oh so good and after lunch for 5 people, only one remained for the Good Apple. It looks like I will be making another batch tonight! You should try this one...seriously. So tasty.

Do you have any suggestions for C or D?

  5. Ugh! Now I don't know which photo a day challenge I should do. This is the second one I've seen - this week! And I haven't been taking any photos! I need to. Okay, so back to you and your question... C - corn, cake (yum!), carrots, celery, cereal, cheese, chicken, cucumber, crackers, or cream. D - (ahem)...donuts? dark chocolate? dessert? Can you see where my mind is right now. Perhaps I should go eat some lunch! Love your pictures, by the way.

  13. We were just talking about homemade bagels this morning. We love to make them and they are, as you say, pretty easy to do. The problem though is that they are ALWAYS eaten within hours, even when we make huge batches. Then they just leave me feeling so unsatisfied!

    1. You aren't kidding Katie. I was just thinking that I should make a double batch next time, but that means I would probably eat twice as many! What to do? Make more!

  18. C could be carrot or calendula (hey, they are edible!). D could be um....dates? That's a hard one. The bagels look fun. I have been making sourdough, also fun.

    I love the photo project.

  19. Wonderful! What a great idea! Wonder if I'll remember this until next year. There's 28 letters in the swedish alphabet so it would be suitable...
